Me Myself & I

I was born in Kibbutz Beit Alfa and lived for several years in London, where my father studied art. After four years in Midreshet Sde Boker in the Negev, my family moved to Jerusalem. In my teens, I was a Boy Scout and a youth member of Saint Catherine’s in the Sinai. I helped rebuild a tower on Masada and worked with the Chief Archeologist in the Sinai. In that capacity, I took part in several digs, renovated Chalcolithic stone burial structures and performed an extensive archeological survey.
In 1981 I organized and participated in Ezra Orion’s first expedition to Nepal, building a ‘Launchpad of Consciousness’ in the Annapurna Sanctuary. I have guided tours in Israel, Egypt and Turkey. I am a licensed tour guide.

I studied graphic design at Bezalel Academy, taught design and worked for many years as a UI/UX designer.

My wife, Noa, and I have been living in Ein Kerem for more than 30 years. Since 2004 we have been volunteers, restoring the Ein Kerem Orchard. I was elected to the Ein Kerem Council in 2014 and elected as its chairman in 2018. I am an active participant in the ongoing struggle to conserve Ein Kerem and its environment. I have organized bi-annual conferences with our Franciscan neighbors on various aspects of Christianity and Judaism and their coexistence. In the spirit of Ezra Orion’s Svivot (environments), I have conducted several conferences that concentrated on art, the environment and the desert.
